Having money during the Holidays is important to teens because they experience joy when being able to pay for the gifts they give to family and friends. Here are some ways your teen can earn some extra cash now, just in time for the Holidays.

1. Babysitting is a great way to earn some quick cash. Your teen could make up some flyers to post in grocery stores, at church, in restaurants or other places of business. They could also post an ad in the classifieds. They could offer to babysit so the parents can do their Holiday shopping. They could also offer to babysit while the parents wrap gifts or go to a company Christmas party. Make the flyers and ads unique and interesting and have family and friends help spread the word that your teen is available.
2. Gift wrapping is a fun way to make some extra cash. Perhaps you know a family with lots of kids who wouldn’t mind paying a buck or two to have someone help them do their gift wrapping.
3. Have a bake sale. A group of teens can get together, do the baking, and then sell their items at church or in their neighborhood. Some stores may even allow them to set up a table in their entryway.
4. Snow shoveling is another great way to earn some extra cash. Your teen could make up flyers and post them around town or take them door to door offering their services.
5. Get a part time job. Many stores are looking for Christmas help and are willing to hire teens just for the Holiday season.
