I totally agree with you.  I listen to the music my daughter likes when we are in the car together.  We watch alot of the same shows.  And I listen when she is talking about her day with her friends and pay attention that way in a few days I can say so how are thing between so and so going.  Then she knows I have listened and I truly care about going in her life.
